Spinal injuries are very common in accidents. PIC can provide care from the most minor sprains to major surgery and reconstruction. Our physicians utilize many "cutting-edge" technologies to give you the best chance of getting better without surgery. If that fails, we have a fellowship trained and board certified spine surgeon that works closely with the treating pain medicine physician to assure all diagnostic procedures have been done and we have the most accurate diagnosis possible before undergoing surgery.

Some of the Advanced Minimally Invasive Technology We Employ

Transdiscal Biacuplasty is used to treat internal tears of spinal disks. This procedure uses probes the size of needles with no incision necessary.

Cooled Radiofrequency Sacroiliac Neurotomy is probably the most advanced treatment for sacroiliac pain in the world. Sacroiliac pain is a common injury when the low back is involved.

Cooled Radiofrequency Thoracic Neurotomy has brought a tremendous tool to the hands of your physician when treating thoracic pain from facet joint injury. This can occur after a collision in which the patient is seat belted.

Cooled Radiofrequency Lumbar Neurotomy represents a significant improvement over standard radiofrequency neurotomy treatments of the low back for pain due to facet joint injury.

Balloon Kyphoplasty can treat painful spinal compression fractures without surgery. Elderly patients with osteoporosis are at risk of fracture if an accident occurs. Sometimes these fractures do not heal and they can cause chronic debilitating back pain.

Spinal Cord Stimulation and Pain Pump-see the Trauma and Chronic Pain page.
